We
at My Free Book Reports have developed this guide to help
students write quality book reports. Although this is the
universal guide for how to write a book report or book review,
we still urge students to consult their teachers before writing
book reports.
Also,
students should be aware that a book report is generally very
different from a book review, so it's important to know which
one you were assigned to write.
Difference
between a book report and a book review
Many people use both terms in the same breath but there are
important differences. A book report is completely factual.
It includes information on the author, title, place and year
of publication as well as a summary of the content of the
book. A book review, on the other hand, is much more personal.
It is really an expression of the reader's opinion of the
work, or of specific aspects of the work. The review will
probably include much of the same factual content as the report,
but it is the reader's personal opinions that are most important.
You can check our separate tutorials on book reports and book
reviews on this site.

of knowledge that comes your way during that process.
